Torii was founded in 2012 with a goal of helping technology-lead businesses to scale through strategy and people.
With a gap in the market around rapidly growing startups and a skills shortage within emerging technologies, Torii worked with businesses which were at the forefront of technology and leading their industry to help them strategise and attract very targeted skill sets and the people championing them.
Working closely with several successful startups like Redbubble, Culture Amp, PaperCut & GreenSync, Torii was embedded in the Melbourne technology scene with a strong presence and reputation around emerging technology trends. We leveraged this to help startups not only scale their teams but also build a strong brand presence with the people in their communities.
With a strong passion and a growing portfolio in emerging technologies, in 2017 Torii started working with large enterprises helping them change their digital landscape through technology specialists and upskilling internal capabilities. In the short time since 2017, Torii has built strong relationships and partnered with several well-known corporate brands like Telstra, NAB, Australia Post, Bureau of Meteorology & Latitude Financial.
A ‘Torii’ is a traditional Japanese gate most commonly found at the entrance of, or within a Shinto shrine, where it symbolically marks the transition from the mundane to the sacred.
The name is symbolic of our business philosophy; providing our clients a gateway to prosperity through people.
